Stata/IC and MBP

I am thinking about buying Stata/IC. Before I take the $150 plunge, I want to know if it runs fairly well on the MBP.

Stata IC on a Mac

Stata is built on Unix and hence it works extremely well on Macs. If you buy Stata IC there is a free upgrade to a 64 bit version for Macs. A lot of the people at Stata use Macs. I wrote a book on Stata for StataPress and mostly talk about running it on PCs because most people have PCs, but I do my own Stata analysis on my Macs.
