So I periodically like to run older games. Almost exclusively from GoG.

I will every couple years run Fallout 1, 2, 3, NV (rarely Tactics). Also fire up Max Payne 1,2.
D&D RPG: BG, BG2, NWN, IWD.

What is required to play these on MacOS?

AFAIK, you only have two options.
1. Crossover which works well enough for Fallout 4, NV, 76
2. Nvidia Geforce streaming service - this works well, but you have less options in configuring the game, for instance, you don't want to run with the Far Habor DLC, I don't think you can do that with Geforce - I've tried, and failed to find a solution

Does anyone know the most recent mod/port status?

IIRC, I can download 65GB Fallout London, and run it on a specific patch version of F4.

I remember seeing videos of someone porting either F1 or F2 to use a more modern FO engine. I want to say it was F1, because I think the video was of Shady Sands.

Checking out macsourceports.com

I go to the games page and the first thing I see is .... Postal!!!

I have a copy somewhere, I think. I bought it because it was gore spattered and contraversial!

OK, some installation questions.

So I went about trying to get F1 and F2 on my Mac. From what I understand from macsourceports they want the original game files.

I grabbed a windows laptop, installed F1 and F2 via GoG to an external SSD.

I then copied the contents over to an external SSD on the Studio.

I try to fire the community editions up and it doesn't like me, it doesn't find one of the main files (I forget which).

I read some notes, which mentioned 3 ways to fire it up. Some use the install image. I have since downloaded the image from GoG and will copy it over later.

Is that what I need to be doing?
