This happened a few weeks ago and had no idea why. Came at random times. Now it's there much more often. What's this issue and how do I fix it?

Here's what it looks like.

Thanks for the help guys!

does it happen only in osx or while booting up as well? seems like its a display issue related to the cable or logic board only the service guys can tell you. You on warranty/apple care?

Happens on boot sometimes also. Unfortunately, I'm not.

most likely seems to be an hardware issue. Do check with an external display if the issue exists. If its an hardware issue it could either be the connector being loose. Incase the connector is bad the display needs to be changed or if the logic board is gone then it will need to be changed. Both are costly parts.
