Status bar email icon appearing after installing IntelliScreen

I really hate that email icon appearing on my iphone 4 jailbroken status bar after installing IntelliScreen. I bugs me because I don't want it there and its in between my battery percentage and battery display icon. Can anyone tell me how to remove it?

Also,

Intelliscreen seems to be running my lockscreen slower. Actually when its locked and I unlock using the HOME button its smooth. If I unlock using the power button, it flashes then works. Then when I unlock again immediately after it doesnt unlock, a third time makes it work with flashing first. WTH?

Can anyone address this as well as how to get rid of email icon on status bar.
