1. Is there a way ...to change the order of the icons... move them around...
2. Can the wifi/airport icon be changed into Numerical ?
3. How to hide the battery icon completely ?

you can drag them around by holding the command key... the battery can be hidden by unchecking show battery status in menu bar under energy saver preferences

Apple > System Preferences > Energy Saver > Un-check "Show battery status in the menu bar"

It's the Menu Bar, not the Status Bar.
Holding the Command key will allow you to move some of the icons, but not all.
Many icons, such as the battery icon, can be removed by holding the Command key and dragging them off the Menu Bar.
If you hold the Option key while clicking the AirPort icon, it will give more details.

Option key is not giving me any extra options... apart from what you usually get by clicking on the icon.....
You're holding the Option key while clicking the AirPort icon?

Yes................

Holding the alt/option button then clicking on the wifi icon... with wired-mouse button...tried both left button and right...

Also tried the mouse pad click
