It seems that the date of 10 April has been removed and the status has changed to 'coming soon.' I wonder if that means the release date is being pushed back.

I think it always said that. I don't recall ever seeing April 10th on Apple's site, except in the event.
It never said April 10. The second the page went live I loaded the site and it's always said "Coming Soon"
