Here's the story:
I live in China.
China Unicom has a hotspot at my dorm with unlimited usage, which I usually download stuff from. Since it's about 3 mbps (woot) it'll usually take a while to download something. Normally I'd leave it on overnight, but for some reason it detects me as inactive and boots me off the network (requiring me to re-login manually). Downloading, apparently, does not count as being "active", whereas simply surfing the web at regular intervals does.
So how can I spoof it to be active, when I'm not there?
