My iPod's running 7.0.3 at the moment. I have a backup of my 7.1 beta testing which actually has some wifi passwords that I need, and I do need some extra speed. The only thing that's holding me back is jailbreak, but the only thing I use is Couria and a few others. I made a stupid mistake updating my phone to 7.1, so I need your help!

You may always choose to update to 7.1 but once you do so you can then never decide to change back.

Tread lightly and wisely.
You know your needs/wants. Listen to your inner voice.

7.0.6 has a major security fix. Since 7.0.6 is no longer available, you might want to update to 7.1 (most people find it faster than 7.0.x anyway).

If you don't need or depend on any tweaks. Go ahead and update. I updated to 7.1 on my iPad mini (first gen) and it improved responsiveness and the Safari reload issue to a degree.

On my iPhone 4s I'm staying on 7.0.4 since it's jailbroken and I use many of the tweaks (F.lux, tethering, themes, emulators, annoyance fixers, etc.). I've installed the SSL fix to address the security issue that was fixed in 7.0.6 so I'm covered there. I'd like to have it a little faster, but I've sped up the animations and the 4s/A5 still seem to keep up perfectly fine.

So, it's a personal choice. If you don't need your jailbreak, obviously update. If you do, stay.
