I made the plunge into the world of wireless mice for OSX.. such a heated topic.

Anyway, I've been using Steermouse for a couple years with my Logitech MX518 with NO problems at all.

The Anywhere MX works 98% perfectly with Steermouse. The one thing that is failing is turning off the scroll speed switcher (or changing the scroll wheel click's action).

Anyone with this mouse or a similar one run into this problem? The Middle Click button type is linked to the little button below the scroll wheel, i think it is meant to be the application switcher button.

While I'm at it, could those of you with a VX/MX style of Logitech mice post up your steermouse cursor speed settings, as well as your button/action assignments? This could be handy for folks looking to tweak their mice (or to troubleshoot issues like the one I'm running into).

Thanks for any help to my original question, and thanks to those of you that participate in this lil experiment of gathering Steermouse settings.

Here are my primary Steermouse settings:

A bit off topic:

I've been using an MX518 for the last 2 years. I've recently bought a Logitech MX 1100 and the mouse movement is not the same as on the 518, it seems like its got 'smoothing' Seeing how youre coming from an MX 518, think you can comment on this? I have a feeling your mouse works the same if not similarly. Either that, or its just me... I really *cant* get used to the mouse movement on it, ive found myself going back to the 518, it seems more accurate. I made a thread about it here:

Thanks!

ungraphic, it definitely seems like wireless mice (and all non apple mice in general) in OSX are quirky with their tracking/sensitivity as compared to windows. i use a windows box at work all day, and use osx and ubuntu primarily at home, so i've got a pretty good feel between the 3 os'. i much prefer windows and ubuntu's tracking/sens. over apples implementation/interpretation.

I'm actually thinking about returning the Anywhere MX and trying another model/make of wireless mouse. The MX Revolution/Performance are too big in my opinion, in comparison to the mx518 which i consider (for my hand at least, perfect).

Good luck with your wireless mouse conquest as well. :)

im using the MX revoloution on my mbp, it took some getting used to, and tweaking the tracking speed and whatnot but i LOVE the mouse and all the customizable buttons on it (sorry a bit off the original topic)

For the record, I returned my Logitech Anywhere MX for a Microsoft (funny, right?) Wireless Laser 5000. It feels much better in the hand than the Anywhere MX did, and also the cursor movement with my Steermouse settings feels much more fluid than the Logitech mice do.

I'm gonna give this mouse a go, maybe Microsoft Mouses have proper mouse movement in OS X.....i'd love to have a wireless mouse...

Thanks for the tips!
