I'm new to the whole iPhone/Apple-world. Got a 3gs iOS4.1 for my birthday, second hand. Tried to update Facebook and Whatsapp using my iTunes account and kept getting a popup saying I had to pay "full price", and contacted iTunes Customer service. They told me to update iTunes and then change my account details to Spain as I have moved here. After hesitating I tried, the update lead to Unknown error 11, and then iTunes told me that the iPhone was in recovery mode and needed to be reset to factory settings. 
More hesitation. After consulting iTunes customer service, forums and a friend I thought that was the only solution, so I did it. Another Unknow error 1656. On the third attempt it worked, but now iTunes say that there is no SIM and on the iPhone it says that the activation server is down and I need to try again.
After more searching on the net I realised that the iPhone must have been jailbroken. Cyndia was on there. I'm an idiot. So - What to I do now? Should I use Snowbreeze? Can someone point me to a step by step-guide? I have no programming experience so most of the threads here makes no sense to me.
