So ive been using iMovie for a while and im now looking for something a bit more advanced to use when editing my movies. I dont really want to pay the price for Final Cut Pro, Is there anything in-between? Thanks

Apple used to make Final Cut Express for a number of years. It was a light version of Final Cut Pro and sold for ~$79 compared to the ~$1000 for FCP at the time it was a steal.

Now sadly you only have iMovie 11 and FCP for $299.

Adobe Premiere Elements 10 not sure if this would be a step up though. Adobe CS6 Production Premium which is certainly a step up but expensive for full version at $1899. If you are a student you could get for a lot cheaper at $449.
