Stepmania isn't working

I downloaded StepMania and installed it, but whenever I try to start it the loading graphic comes up, the screen goes black and then resizes, and then it crashes with the message "The Application StepMania has unexpectidly quit." Anyone have suggestions on what I can do or any other OSX DDR programs I can try? I'm running 10.2.8 on a TIbook 667.
