Steps to changing dock icons

Hello again. I have a question. I downloaded these icons to my desktop. Now, how would I go by making my Photoshop and Illustrator icons the ones that I downloaded? I tried copying them from Preview and pasting them but they didn't look right. Is there a certain way to do it? Thanks.

Don't bother opening them up in preview, just copy and paste them straight away.
EDIT: Unless they are an .icns file, which you either need to use CandyBar, or there's plenty of converters arond (google icns2icon)

they're PNGs, which seems to me like an odd choice.

Pic2Icon was suggested for converting .png in this thread.
(a couple of others are suggested as well if you are having problems)
