Steps to take and things to save from your old iPhone?

I want to make sure I don't forget something.

1. Sync itunes to transfer purchases, saved PDF docs, etc.

2. Generate iTunes backup on desktop, even though I won't restore to a new phone from this.

3. Check text threads to make sure they do not contain any pics I have not saved.

4. Save all pics to desktop computer.

5. Upload/update contacts and calendar to iCloud

What else can you save and how?
