Hi, I currently use a TRS stereo line in to lightning adapter to record my mixer’s output to my iPhone SE 1st gen. This gets me a clear stereo signal to GarageBand that I monitor with the 3.5mm headphone jack when adding tracks.
I’m looking to buy a new iPad

As the 3.5mm jack is no longer available on new iPads, I foresee a challenge to get my signal in to GarageBand and still get my output. All adapters I have seen USB-c or lightning either do stereo input only or TRRS typical stereo out mono in.
Is there a way to get both from the same adapter ? TRRRS ?

the USB-C to stereo line in adapter is only 20$ but lacks any output to monitor playback when layering multiple tracks.

I don’t want to spend 200$ for an interface with premic’s just to get my mixer out to the iPad. I have seen some cheap hub but most of them only seem to add an extra USB c for charging

I really enjoy the simplistic and touch interface of GarageBand for my amateur projects...

I might end up buying a lower end model iPad that still has lightning and 3,5mm ports. The new iPad Air would make sense otherwise

let me know if you know of a device that could help me keep my minimalist setup while still using a modern iPad :)
