The design leaks on the next gen iPhone have two grills with different sizes. Is it possible both grills contain speakers, and one also contains a microphone? Or is the speaker just going to be larger? Either way, we're probably getting a better speaker, right?

Don't think so. Two speakers on a phone is a waste of space, money and effort, as they would be too close together for any stereo effect to be noticeable. Looks like we're just getting a larger speaker.
One speaker one microphone (on the bottom at least)

Yeah i gotta agree with the stereo speaker theory being a waste.
I've had cellphones with stereo effect and it was not great.
As long as the speaker system is strong and loud enough for me to hear an incoming call and notification alert then i'm happy.
