In case you're interested, D8 has posted several clips of the interview on their video page.

The clips appear to be separated into several segments (rather than just one big video).

Still, it's amazing to see Steve's human side come out. He gets really into some of the stuff he talks about — his explanation on the Flash situation just seems to make a lot more sense hearing it from him directly...

We're just people running this company! We're trying to make great products for people. And so we have, at least the courage of our convictions to say, we don't think this is part of what makes a great product, we're gonna leave it out. That's what a lot of customers pay us to do — is to make the best products we can. And if we succeed, they'll buy 'em! And if we don't, they won't! And it'll all work itself out!

You know, so far I'd have to say that people seem to be liking iPads! We've sold one every three seconds since we launched it!

The iAd video was interesting. I was among those that thought apple was going to force all developers to use iAds. That is not the case, nor was I aware what flurry was doing - not kosher.

Kudos to Jobs on that one.

If they are going to edit down into clips they need to call it 'some things digital' :)

Gotta love the one where he is talking about suicides at Foxconn, and tries to rationalize it by saying "you know, people may be offing themselves left and right, but it's still below the U.S. average!" and the woman responds "yeah, but Steve....they're all at the same place" And Jobs just goes blank for a second, like a deer in the headlights. Priceless.

Human life is human life, and if the conditions are so bad at foxconn that people only feel that ending it is the only way out for them, then that's sad and something has to be done. It doesn't matter how it measures statistically.

We're talking people not numbers

How does the fact that they're in the same place make it worse? It just means you hear about it more but it's still a lot lower than the rate of suicides in China, which means Foxconn workers actually have a better life than the average Chinese person. Of course any suicide is tragic, which is why Apple and the other companies are looking into it.

In one of the video clips, in the comments section, a commenter who appears to be a writer/editor/something for the site, says the entire vid will be posted sometime this week. So if you'd rather view the whole thing, like me, it should be available soon.

You guys remember when everyone was freaking out about how Jobs was pissed about a reporter tweeting from the iPad, that was why.

Called it.

The full SJ D8 interview is now available. An hour and a half of Jobby-Jobs. Again, he makes an entrance to a Beatles tune. BTW, there are two more full length SJ interviews on the All Things Digital video site (2003 and 2004).

EDIT: Damn, that interview totally rocked! One of his best evuh.
