A series of tubes
He's listed as one of the 100 most influential people in the world. Billy-boy Gates and Michael Dell also made the list, but not for their innovation! :p

Here's a sample:

Everything his company does is scrutinized, often imitated and sometimes even stolen by competitors. (Windows is the most notable example of the highest form of flattery; Wal-Mart's launch of a download-music site is the most recent.) The mouse, how your computer's desktop acts when you point and click at folders and files, wireless Net connectivity, flat-panel displays and DVD burners--these are just some of the things that Jobs was the first to get right for a mass market. He baked them into his Macs, which forced the PC world to follow along.

He definitley deserves to be on the list. All that they wrote about him is very true, and he is, indeed a very influential person.

...I'm wondering what they said about Bill Gates though... :p

Well, some of the more recent stuff (WiFi, DVD±R, LCD displays, USB) was going to happen anyway, just not as quickly as it did if Apple hadn't touched them

But who knows, without Apple pushing the envelope, we might still be trusting our critical data to little 3.5" magnetic discs. I don't know how many times I lost important information that way! Thank you Apple for killing that out-dated idea.

I just think it sucks that time has to charge you to "log in" to read articles. Almost every other news agency out there even Newsweek is accessable via the web for free. But I must say the Illustrations are awsome.
