You're right, there is a member with that ID. Ebay's policies have changed now though, and you can only view that person's details if you're currently in a transaction with the mentioned person or have been in the last 60 days?

Also just because someone registered with that handle, doesn't mean it's actually Steve Jobs. :p

yeah but someone would have to have access to the steve@mac.com account, don't you have to verify your address to become an ebay member? (can't remember if i had to or not)

Hm that's true. Strangely it doesn't give a username associated with the account, it just says that it's been registered with a valid Ebay member. Interesting find.
 
There was a post on here 1-2 years ago about a vintage guitar he was bidding on. Maybe someone can find it. Steve was outbid around $30K if I remember right.
