Guys,

with 'Creative Pro' a week away - do you think that Greg Joswiak will do his keynote, finish up talking about iSight - then as his example case hook up to his 'friend' in california...

... It's Steve. They talk a bit then Greg goes to sign off and Steve goes "Oh Greg, One more thing..."

Possibly a next-to-nil chance of this happenning, but with iSight you could turn a Gregnote into a Stevenote by slight of hand - therefore Steve gets to introduce any new hardware...

Thoughts?

Could be an updated 15" PB. I don't think new Powerbooks with a G5 in it would be deserving of their own keynote --- it's almost expected. Maybe if they used a new Motorola chip (not the G4), then I guess it deserves a little hyped-up speech from Steve-o, but only if it's not a G4 or G5 updated PB). And since a G4 updated 15" Powerbook is expected, I guess this would be a good way for Steve to be there without actually "being" there.

i just have this vision of them introducing powerbooks on some random day soon, and then having them on display at creative or whatever its called. i just cant see anyone else but steve comign out with something new. and who is joswiak, is he some evil dna mix up of woz and jobs.

I think that he could introduce the new 15.4" alBook very easily.
As it is just an upgrade and not something REALLY BIG.
However, we know that there will be no G5 powerbooks any time soon, and yes I do think that they deserve their own keynote.

As long as it is shipping SOON! I am leaving for vacation on August 7 and want one before then so I can bring it with.

Please Steve help a guy out a little.

the sooner the better.

i feel like i'm going into serious withdrawal.

i really don't need all the fanfare. if they dropped it tomorrow in the middle of the afternoon, i'd be happy.

Steve Jobs introducing a product, new or updated, without an audence to play to or get applause from in PERSON?

Ain't gonna happen...besides, I don't think the Reality Distortion Field works via webcam.:p

Actually, that's an undocumented feature of the new iChat AV beta: RDF transmission. :D
