Gave this one a shot (no pun intended) on a long flight. For a show of the budget it must have, I can't believe how poor the writing is.
I started off thinking it was cute and charming if highly derivative (its following many of the plot beats of Shrinking...everyone has trauma and has to rescue one another). The problem is the eminently unlikeable characters make it hard to get into like you do in Shrinking where you come to care about and root for the characters.
The character of Zero, in particular, is one of the most poorly written characters I can think of for any recent show I've seen. Her dialogue is what you'd get if you asked ChatGPT to write you a parody of how Fox News thinks a Gen Zer would speak. She somehow is insulting to people of intersecting identities while also being an eminently unlikeable brat. Her character practically ruined the most recent two episodes (with 4 being nearly unwatchable). Mitts's near obsession with their pronouns also just went on far, FAR too long and became cringeworthy in a "this is bad" way (not, like, in the Curb Your Enthusiasm way).
