My home button has not been working very well and I would have to press it multiple times to get it to go. I also have been using assitive touch to help make it a little less frustrating. My warranty ran out on my release day iPhone 4, and I don't have Apple Care. Took the phone to the Apple Store and the genius, after doing a bunch if different things, gave me 2 choices. Live with the button problem as long as I can, or I could purchase a new phone under contract. I opted for number 1 and going to wait for the iPhone 5 later this year. Well, I been growing more and more frustrated with the button sticking and went on YouTube to check for possible fixes. I found one that was spoken in a foreign language, and saw as the poster put a drop of liquid on the home button and pressed it numerous times. He did this twice. I assumed it was rubbing alcohol, so I grabbed my bottle of rubbing alcohol, shut off the iPhone, and added a drop to the button. Pressed it about 30 times, added another drop, pressed it again, wiped the phone down and booted up the phone. I tried using the home button in various ways and it worked perfectly!!!!
I just wanted to share this because it worked, and I know it's a big problem.
