Sticky iPhone Volume Button? Anything I can do?

So, I am very scared to hit the + button on my iPhone 5 because sometimes when I press it, the volume will go full blast. It is like the button temporary gets stuck down. Any suggestions to fix this?

This is an issue with and without iPhone case on.
