I just took a look at the bottom of my macbook and noticed a sticky blackish substance. I got some of it off with a wet cloth but the rest doesn't want to come off.

What do you guys recommend to use to clean it up.

thanks in advance guys!

Goo Gone will usually work. Otherwise some Rubbing Alcohol or Acetone (nail polish remover).

TEG

Goo Gone used to eat the plastic off iBooks - not sure if it will also eat MacBook plastic.

would rubbing alcohol mess up the shine? If not will this also clean up my palmrest and all.
