Stiff crown? (Watch S2)

My crown on the Watch Series 2 is much stiffer than on my Watch series 0. Also, it sort of has a 'hump' to it - rotating the first 180 degrees is stiffer than usual, but the other 180 degrees is very, very stiff. So it's not even consistently stiff!

Has anyone else had this issue?

Definitely a defect. Take it to Apple or at least call support to have the issue documented now, and then swap when there is stock at your local Apple if they are near.
