I am an about to be iphone 5 user. I am concerned about bending the phone because I like to carry my phone in my front pocket,
I have looking around the forums nut don't see anything addressing this.
I thought I would get an aluminium case but I don't want reception problems.

Any Suggestions (with links I hope) ?

Not all Aluminum cases cause reception problems. Element Sector 5 cases do not. They are expensive $140. The solution to that is a knockoff regrettably. I have both and the knockoff quality though not up to the real one is very good. Here's the link I ordered from.

re Element Sector 5 / knockoff

Thanks for the reply.
Do you carry your phone in your front pocket (jeans for me) with these cases?

No I don't. I feel that bending this case would take a car running over it. I use the holster that Element case sells for $29.95 separately or with the black ops.
It's not as geeky as most holsters and adds some protection.
The case may be hard to slip in and out of your pocket because of the flared ends.

You're concerned about the phone bending in your front pocket? Are you a female? The only pockets I've seen small enough to do that are on females' jeans.

not a female

I am concerned about bending and flexing.'I feel my current HTC Evo 4g was/is damaged by the case flexing while in my front pocket.
Since the iphone 5 is about the same length I and I wanted to have a fix.

Check youtube for bent iphone cases.

In any case a stiff case is what i'd like to have.

Cases do not bend the device, it is meant for protecting the device.

He's not saying the cases bend the devices, he's saying he's worried his phone might bend despite being in a case if the case is not stiff enough.

Gotcha,

Otterbox comutter or defender would do the trick then.
