Still Boot Windoze From Firewire Drive?

Hi All,

Finally want to boot my MacBook Pro (i7) in Windows XP (for gaming). Been reading various forum posts and a MacRumors guide that say it's possible to boot Windows from an external firewire drive. But the posts are from 2006, 2009. Is this still true?

I'm running Snow Leopard now, I have a legit copy of XP that I want to run off an external firewire drive.

I found that earlier. Just wanted to check if it was still valid. No new developments, I guess.

Another question: If I swap my superdrive for another HDD, can I put XP on THAT drive?
