I have been trying to decide if the 2GB of memory in the 'old' refurb MBP's will be enough for me as upgrading is at least $119 from Crucial.

If I buy new, my Mom's NYS discount will save me $100, but including tax, that's still $167 more than the refurb. Plus, I can have it now whereas a refurb must be shipped.

Are the new specs for the 13" worth the $167?

I will be buying from either Apple or Best Buy since they both have no interest financing deals.

I still havent decided either :( I'm still trying to pick between the 2.4 2.53 and the 2.66... I cant make up my mind on standard res glossy/hi res matte either. AHHHHHHH!

What makes it that much harder is that I am not working, I have a 'working' PC so I don't need it AND most importantly, I am not sure how pissed the wife will get when it shows up!

2.4 MBP13.

The battery life and GPU update is worth more than $167.

Upgrading to 4gb of ram alone is $100 so an extra $67 is well worth it, IMO, for the GPU upgrade and improved battery life. The increased processor speed is just a bonus.

I will be buying a new MBP 13" sometime this summer.
