Still having signal drops after new unlock

I have really been looking forward to the JB and unlock of the Devteam, since I was continously suffering from signal drops when I had unlocked my iphone 3G with Blackra1n on 3.1.2. I even bought a nokia 2730 cause I couldn't even finish my phonecalls. Back then the assumption was that these problems would disappeir when the Devteam would release a new JB/unlock. I am now running on 4.0 with the ultrasnow unlock and signal drops are back again. My modemfirmware is now 5.13.04. I am quite sure that it's not the network provider, my dad has a factory unlocked iphone 3G and when I plug in my SIM it connects with the network instantly, while with mine it has to wait for 20 secs to pic up a signal, same as when it was unlocked with blackra1n. Is someone facing the same problems and if there are any suggestions please post them.

put your dads sim in your phone and see if his signal drops. could be a problem with the phone

If you're using it with Tmobile USA make sure you turn off 3G.
