When I first got my iPhone 5 (like a month after it was released), I had issues with my phone auto connecting to wifi networks. I went to the apple store and they gave me a temporary workaround till apple fixed the issue (switch every http proxy setting for every wifi network I use to auto). I did this and never have had a problem till now. I just moved and started using my old wireless router (802.11 g) that I never used with my phone before. I now have to reconnect AND type in my password every time I get home, if I remember! The http proxy setting is already set to auto so thats not the issue. My fiancé has the same issue with my old iPhone 4 16 GB. Is this a problem with my wireless router or our phones? Our phones have the latest version of iOS 6 on them.

My wi-fi connection works fine but the wi-fi sync feature has been utterly broken ever since iOS 6.

It's a real pain in the ass because back when I was on iOS 5, I used to keep my charger plugged in by my bed. At night, I would plug in my iPhone and it would simultaneously charge and sync with my iTunes library. Every since iOS 6, it doesn't sync anymore. Every time I want to keep my iPhone up to date with the media and playlists from my computer, I have to unplug my charger, bring it to my office room, plug my iPhone into my computer, and then afterwards, take it back to my bedroom and plug it in there again. It's getting quite annoying.

I don't understand how Apple still hasn't fixed this. It's been more than 6 months already!

My iPhone 5 has worked fine throughout 6.1.2 and then I upgraded to 6.1.3. No issues at first but then a couple days ago, my battery life dropped to about half of what I'm used to, which was the battery would hold steady and easily take me through the day vs. now, where my battery is done by about 5pm (after being off the charger around 6am). I started watching my phone's behavior a lot closer and noticed that where I used to get 2-3 wifi bars, I'm only getting 1 wifi bar and occasionally, up to 2 wifi bars. I reset my entire network and modem and reset my phone a few times and I'm still getting the same results. I'm guessing this is the reason for my shorter battery life but it's just a guess. This is getting frustrating as I, too, am unsure if there is any point to giving the genius bar a visit. Even if they swap my phone, I'm skeptical that this is going to resolve anything if the problem is a software based one.

UPDATE: After having just posted about my issue, it occurred to me to check my app drawer. I found a bunch of apps still there. I cleared them out and tried another reset. This seems to have cleared up my signal reception issues as my wifi is strong again and I'm getting full bars on my cell signal as well (I have an AT&T microcell), where before, I was getting half of my cell bars. I'm quite hopeful this will conclude my issues with battery life.
