The reviews for the Matrox does not look good. is there still no good docking solution? Making from my desk and unplugging 4-5 things constantly is a bit annoying.

Will that work with the non-retina Macbook Pro ?

boo, no CMBP ... that sucks I was ready to get my credit card out to.

For me, a simple 7-port USB 3.0 hub works great as a docking solution. USB covers most of my peripheral needs, and there are nice small and relatively inexpensive adapters for things like Ethernet and eSata drives.

I wish there was a good USB 3.0 to Firewire adapter, but most of my Firewire drives also have eSata which is faster.
