Been a long time since Messages on OS X got any love.

Can't believe they haven't updated the feature set to be at least comparable to iOS, with apps/stickers markup etc. It has become jarring switching between devices.

They probably won’t until next year’s macOS when they introduce more of those shared iOS/macOS frameworks.

The apps they chose to use for Mojave were basically iOS’ low complexity apps so they are a safer bet to test stuff on. Once they think its good to go they will probably start porting more complex apps like messages over (maybe accompanied by a FaceID equipped Mac?)
