Still no refurbs in store

I cracked my iPhone 6 awhile back and recently cracked my AW screen so I decided to go into an Apple Store and us my AC+ to get refurbs of both devices. I was able to get my iPhone no problem of course however not an AW. The genius told me no stores currently have refurbs available and all AW repairs must be done by sending the device to Apple.

Is this true for all stores? And why do you think Apple won't hold refurb units in store for AW+ customers?

It could be possible that they do no have refurbs at that particular store. Try at another store if possible.

Unfortunately, for unknown reason(s) the AW is the first and only iDevice for which Apple has elected not to stock white box replacements across the board.

If you have AC+, do the express replacement and save yourself the wait and hassle.

+1, only reason I got AC+, to do express replacements. I despise the apple store.
