my internet is down at the moment so I’m using my Wi-Fi iPad tethering via ‘instant hotspot’ to get online. But it is such a pain to have to go through all the settings and turn off auto this and auto that, because stupid iOS thinks ‘oh I’m on Wi-Fi, data nom nom nom’ - even though Instant Hotspot is literally designed to easily connect to mobile Wi-Fi on your iPhone
will Apple ever give us smarter control over this? Why can’t they simply provide an option to use mobile rules when connecting via Instant Hotspot?
I’d even understand if this didn’t support third party pocket Wi-Fi devices, but Apples own Instant Hotspot there is no excuse for iOS not knowing it is on a mobile network
