So I upgraded to Lion, and despite the fact that I have an Apple SSD(apple ssd ts256 W010011b), still no trim support

This is a 256 gig SSD in a unibody alu macbook(made between 2008 and 2009)

Anyone else have this issue? Is trim just unsupported by the hardware?

Google, Trim Enabler.

Same SSD , same problem. I believe these SSDs does not support TRIM at all.

Another friend of mine has the 1st Gen, first released Macbook Air. Same deal; no TRIM in Lion.

SSDs made later than mid/late 2009 gets TRIM like "TS256B" or "TS256C" whatever later models.

Just installed a Corsair Force 3 into a new MBP 15 inch. Fast but no native TRIM support under Lion. Does anyone know if that TRIM enabler app is worth trying?
There is another active TRIM thread on this forum. It would be well worth your time reading it. This and other issues are addressed.
