I had thought I had discovered a way of charging my Apple Pencil Pro away from the iPad Pro. The Anker charger indicated it was drawing a few watts. It turns out the Electronics on the pencil prevent it from charging. It has to be on the iPad. I hardly ever use it; had I to do it over again, I don't think I would have wasted the money.

I just make sure to allow the regular mating of my PencilP with my iPP (not quite D.Attenborough, but it will suffice).

Same. I find a $5 capacitive stylus works better for most of my usage.

Apple could’ve fixed the charging problem by adding an on/off switch. The Zugu case has good storage with an elastic carrying pouch on the back, with a fairly secure slot on the top for charging.

Just pulled out this contractor's pen with a capacitive stylus. I have a shorter Dewalt-branded one as well. Sort of forgot I had them.
