Hey.

I am still seeing the “allow copy / paste “ bug on ios 16.1 on my iPhone 13 mini.

I also don’t have a setting for copy/ paste in settings.

A reboot didn’t change anything.

Im still seeing it too but not everywhere. Just sometimes, on some apps, and its inconsistent but always catches me off guard when it happens.

You need to go to settings and then into the sections at the bottom for each of the apps that prompt you, only AFTER they prompt you once in 16.1

I agree they should have given it its own section under keyboard or privacy but I’ll take any solution over what we dealt with in 16.0.x…

I can confirm Apple has not fixed this yet. The setting is shown on Firefox, but not Safari.

I’m not sure what Apple was thinking when they came out with this half-baked mess. Just put this in a main setting like location tracking is. They’ve done it for other things, so how come they can’t get it right for this.. 🤦‍♂️

If you are using a third party keyboard, go into the section in Settings for that and in Paste from Other apps section set it to Allow. I use the SwiftKey keyboard and since I have set that to Allow, I haven't seen the message. Same in iPadOS 6.1.

It’s funny how Apple forces other developers for privacy settings and rules but never for their own.
