at some point my iphone tethering stopped working when connecting to my Mac Book Pro.

Network preferences still shows it as being connected.
But there isn't any internet.
(it also began showing IP 192.168.20.2 - which I think is wrong)

any ideas

I'm also using Snow Leopard

Your post is a bit vague. Have you tried disconnecting and reconnecting? Restarted the phone? Restarted the computer? Which carrier are you using? Are you using an unmodified phone or have you unlocked/jailbroken it?

provider - Rogers Canada

Yes I did all of that and more
Wasted over an hour with tech support

Luckily There was a snowleopard update waiting to be installed.
After the update it was fixed

I doubt it was specific to the update.
Probably just caused the network settings to be refreshed

Would love to know how to do that manually incase this happens again
