Stingray detection

Google just announced that the next Android version will detect if a phone connects to a Stingray device assuming it has the necessary hardware support. Will Apple copy this feature?

Yeah, what I just read on a couple different sites (while learning what a stingray device is, hehe,) is that the hardware support will likely be limited to upcoming models, as Google's policy allows manufacturers to lock in the drivers at the time of release. Which makes one wonder if Apple would be able to enable such detection on existing phones.

If there are no legal or political complications, it certainly sounds like the sort of thing that Apple would implement.
