I looks rather nice. IMO, it's a combination of Macally's bookstand for iPad 1 and mixed with elements from the most recent BookStand for iPad 2. There merge of style looks rather nice. Still keeps, small/light form factor, but hopefully won't suffer from Macally's QC issues.

wow nice! i like it - when is this available and how much?

duh! should have clicked link first before asking questions! :) thanks
i wonder if this can be cut to allow a smart cover?! by cutting the cover....

Looks rather nice. IMO,

Agreed. Pre-ordered one in black.

STM makes great stuff.

I like the fact that it's:
- minimalist
- 300d micro ripstop material should be durable
- No bezel coverage (huge plus to me)
- Cover does the wake from sleep thingy

In case anyone else is interested, the following coupon code is good for 20% off from Radtech: AUG1Q59

Radtech estimates a 4/5/11 availability date.

If they could make it work without those ugly semi-circle holder in the corners, I'd be in - those are ugly and bug me.

I saw this case recently online and like the looks but I want to know how well the ugly semi-circle corner holders work and also, you can't tell from the picture, what is holding the iPad in place on the left (spine) side of the case?

LOL...the semi circle corner holder is a little goofy the more I look at it, but still like the case.

If you open the timg I attached, and use the magnify function, it looks like the tab has a recess as does the corners of the cover. Magnet maybe??

The cover looks like it's hinged for making the wedge for the stand function, but no folding completely over.

This looks perfect! Does the cover fold completely and flat around the back?

I think the first link shows a pic of that. I agree-despite it's lack of color selection, it seems like the best option out there.

I don't think so. If you're referring to the last picture in the link, that just shows the back when the case is closed.

I actually emailed them about this. This is the response:

Thanks

Sent from my iPhone so please forgive anything that doesn't make sense.

i agree with others.. if the color selection was a bit better, and i'm a bit leary at the plastic trim which looks kind of cheap.

Awesome! I'm going to look around a bit more, but this is probably going to be what I buy!

i emailed them again and asked about the black vs blue trim in some of the photos of the black version. they said the initial samples they got from the manufacturer were with the blue trim but they ultimately went with the black,, which i like better so i ordered one!

this photo shows the blue trim again, but you can really see how thin it is!

Thanks for that info. I pre-ordered black and the black on black combo looks much better.

Spoke to them today. They are still anticipating an April 5th shipping. Pre-ordered a black on black.

I'd love a case like this without the front flap so that the apple smart cover could be combined with it.

Or better yet, keep the front cover, but add the articulations and magnets like a smart cover and lose the flap/latch (since you'll have magnets to keep the front closed). This eliminates the chance of the cover detaching when not intended.

Bonus points if magnets are embedded in the back edge to keep an articulated cover flat in the open position, too.

I ordered one. This is the closest to what I have been looking for which is basically something as similar to the iPad1 Apple case. Hopefully it fulfills my need and is not too bulky.

? really? this looks and functions nothing like the Apple iPad1 case. different concept. Partial side coverage, diff attachment to ipad, different stand type, tongue in slot flap.

The Yoobao slim in leather I just got is almost exactly like the Apple1 case, except in leather and auto on/off. It wraps the ipad with total coverage, like the Apple1 did, and is super slim. If you want similar to iPad1 case, the Yoobao is very close.

Does yours turn off the screen if you wrap the front cover around?
