Im having alittle trouble and hoping someone might have some insight.

stock 2011 15" macbook pro 128GB samsung SSD

I put it in my 2011 13" macbook pro. formatted with disk utility, installed OSX with CDroms and transferred old apps/settings back from a backup.

Now here are the weird part Negotiated link speed is 1.5Gbps, not 3. I've tried restarting, reset PRAM, reset SMC, and it still says 1.5Gbps. On top of that, it says trim support "No"

I thought stock apple SSD is supposed to have trim support "yes" in system profiler and a negotiated link speed of 3Gbps.

Any help/insight would be appreciated. thanks! I'm really scratching my head with this one..

Here is a pic. can anyone confirm "APPLE SSD SM128" is a current gen 2011 apple oem SSD?

Where did you get the drive? Both of my "Stock" Apple SSDs are Toshiba drives. I have a 256GB and a 128GB, both negotiated at 3.0Gbps.

I have the 2011 15" 2.2Ghz MacBook Pro

dgitalchaos, I bought it off craiglist. After discovering it is from a 09 macbook air and extensive use has made it just as slow as my 7200rpm drives. I emailed the seller, turns out he was scammed as well. but he didnt' list it as bought from someone else. He offered a refund as he chases the other guy.

hmmm. guess i'll spring for the intel 320, or vertex 3.

thanks for the pic attachments.

Wow, what a scam! With CL it's hit or miss. At least he's willing to offer a refund.

Here's my Xbench score:
