Stock email app doesn't sink sent mail

My iMac and MacBook Air stock email only correctly syncs my yahoo inbox but not the sent. Any idea how I can overcome this? Thanks

AFAIK email syncing only works on your inbox. I have yet to have any email application sync anything else.

But it syncs well both on my iPhone and iPad for inbox and sent. Is this any different?

Not having an ios device I have no idea why it is doing that. Just that I have never seen any device (mac, smart phone, whatever) sync to a mail server on anything other than reading the inbox from the server.
