anybody know of any sites that have a stock market forum? i'd like to find a good community. also, I have a quick question regarding stocks, why do people want to own stock in publicly traded companies besides speculation that the price will increase or dividends?

There are differences between investing, trading, and speculation.

One more reason to buy stocks is to preserve wealth.
