Stock Selection in Notification Center

Just upgraded to Yosemite on my IMac. I went into notification center to add some stocks I follow. When I start to enter the stock code the selections I am given are from what appears to be the Tokyo Exchange and not NYSE. My NYSE stocks are not located. Not sure why this is the case I don't see anyway to change markets.

Any ideas?
