Add me to the list of those with stolen iPhones. :(
It was my company's iPhone 4, so I'm not out any money (yet), but it's still annoying.

Some scumbag grabbed it out of my hands at lunch while I sat in the park and took off running. I kept up for 3-4 blocks, but lost him.

So far, findmyiphone in iCloud hasn't be able to find it, but it did respond to a lock request yesterday and emailed me confirmation.

Question 1: If FindmyiPhone was able to verify sending a lock request, shouldn't it have also known where it was (or at least IP info)?

Question 2: Other info seems to say that once the phone is wiped, FindmyiPhone won't work any more, but since it's part of the OS now, shouldn't Apple be able to identify the iPhone even after it's wiped and online somewhere?

I'm resigned that the chances of recovering it is pretty small and unfortunately my company is now looking to get out of supplying phones. So that means I'll have to replace it myself. Although they may pay for my data plan.

I had hoped to avoid buying a new one until the next revision, but looks like an iPhone 4s is in my near future (used 3GS and 4 prices just don't seem worth it to me).

Question 3: I can't seem to find Verizon's business data plan costs (since once I install Good Server app on it, supposedly I have to be on a business data plan--and of course Good Server data is *SO* much more expensive to send for Verizon *sarcasm*)).

Question 4: Are there any good cases out there that will: Securely enclose the iPhone 4s (like with screws or tough to release catches) and have a attachment for a wrist strap.
Basically, I'm thinking when I'm in a similar environment I can loop the hand strap around my wrist.
Or get one of those attachments they use at the apple sore and put a heavy chain around my belt to avoid it being grabbed. :)
