Stolen iPhone

Hi guys
I lost my phone 4s today. It was stolen at LaGuardia Airport. It was there one minute and the next minute it was gone. On find my iPhone it was moving so I erased it. Erase took.

So I'm going to Cherry Hill New Jersey and there's an Apple Store there. So I ordered one and it's available for pick up tomorrow. But question is I'm on the road I don't have any way to to sync it to my computer cause I don't have my Mac air, so Will I be able to use it immediately by just activating it through iCloud.?

Does AT&T have to be involved?

You will need to get a new sim from AT&T.

I don't think they can access your AT&T account and program a new sim with your number. That's the carriers job.

The phone is wiped, do I have any reason to worry the sim is out there now...should I call them?

The sim is still active on your account with your phone number. You have to call AT&T to disable it.

You don't read too well....it was gone....stolen.....and I was getting on a plane....

A new iPhone comes with a new SIM.

If you haven't already - make sure you've deactivated the phone with AT&T. Once you get your new one, call them back or activate in store.

Just for anybody else in this situation I got a new phone from the Apple Store.They activated it right away standing there by making a call to AT&T overwriting the block that I had put on the whole line due to theft last night. I was out with a new phone working and activated within 10 minutes
