My macbook pro 13 was stolen from my home 5 years ago. Unfortunately 'Find My Mac' was not turned on and the police were unable to assist. Today I randomly entered the serial # into an Apple database to check if it qualifies for a battery replacement program. It does not but the response stated that 'our records indicate your battery has already been replaced....'. I definitely did not change the battery but I would obviously like to know who did and how they came into possession. Do I have any recourse to request that info from apple if I show evidence that I was original owner and reported it stolen?
