Hello everyone,

I think that I have been scammed and my MacBook Pro has been stolen.

The summary is, if I know the serial number of the MacBook is there any way a hacker could block the computer to **** them? I guess this will cost money, but I won’t let them get away.

Any help is really appreciated. I really don’t know where I can find this service.

Thanks!

is there evidence of the MacBook being stolen?
did they take your serial number or do you have a MacBook pro that can't generate a serial number?
i was just trying to figure out this scenario and read your post 2 times and is still confused a bit.

So you are trying to remotely disable a computer based on the S/N alone? I do not know of anything.
(I'm assuming that you wiped and sold your computer and didn't get paid for it rather than it actually having been stolen)

No, there isn't.

Hackers don't deal with serial numbers. They work with network addresses.

If you've been scammed there is nothing you can do to render the computer useless. Activation lock can do that, but you would have turned that off when you handed over the machine. Your original post is light on details, so you've left us all guessing.

The best thing you can do is file a police report.
