I have the iWork 09 trial installed on my computer, and just bought the CD from the Apple website.

When I get the CD, will just putting the CD in my drive activate the trial? Or will I actually need to install the CD and delete the trial?

Is there any way to get an activation code now?

You can't get the code now. It will come with the packaged product.

You can enter your serial number in the trial to convert it to the retail version without reinstalling.

Apple has said that no activation codes are shipped with CDs (there certainly weren't any in mine). You must delete the trial and reinstall from the CD. No activation code required. You would only need a code if you bought the download version directly from the online store...

You do not need to delete the trial, but you do need to run the installer from the DVD to convert the trial to the paid version.

With previous versions you could just enter the serial number, but '09 does not have a serial number in the box to enter. You can purchase a serial number electronically.
