Can anyone point me to a good solution for stopping an external drive sleeping?
I created 3 double drives with HDD and enclosures, but they spin down after ridiculously short times and it's getting insane.

I saw NoSleepHD but it's for windows only.
anyone have any Mac Friendly suggestions?

thanks

In System Preferences/Energy Saver there is a box to check that will allow the HD to sleep. Have you unchecked this? I am not sure if it applies to the internal HD only, or to all drives on the system. Worth a try.

thanks, I tried this previously and it seems to only work for internal drives.

I think external hard drives, usb or firewire, have their own internal sleeping mechanism. There's probably a way to do it but it would most likely involve the individual mfgr.
